I study how local adaptation, phenotypic plasticity and habitat fragmentation interact to shape plant resilience in a rapidly changing world. My work combines field ecology, common-garden experiments and genomics, with a particular focus on Mediterranean wild plants inhabiting extreme environments. I hold a Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Naples Federico II and am currently based at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, working on the evolutionary changes in endemic cliff plants. I have recently been awarded the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award, which will allow me to carry out my own project focused on how flowering plants cope with the rapid shifts in their interacting insect communities.
